Another Curious Fact About Markos Moulitsas

During my research into the background of Markos C. A. Moulitsas Zúñiga (MAMZ), I discovered and linked to some of the shocking essays essays that he published when he was in college at Northern Illinois University, including the extremely homophobic essay in which MAMZ said,
( . . . ) the demands and pressures of military life are incompatible with allowing integration with homosexuals. ( . . . ) Worrying about whether the known homosexual sleeping next to you is watching as you change your underwear may seem trivial as you read this, but to the soldier who's short-tempered after three weeks in the field and four hours of daily sleep, it becomes a matter of great importance to his pride and sensibilities. And in any case, there aren't many people who would change clothes in a group of co-workers if members of the opposite sex were in the same room watching. There is something inherently uncomfortable about it. ( . . . ) Marcos C. A. Moulitsas Truth About Kos
However, suddenly the links to these articles do not work anymore. For example, look what happens right now, today, when you try to access to link to the screenshot above:

Look what happens at the Northern Star when you try to access the article in which MAMZ says that he is not a minority:

Certainly, the university's website has just been redesigned, and this could well explain the absence of some of their archives on this particular day, and yesterday as well.

Whatever the problem is, I certainly hope they fix it soon.

Because, right now, you could look at the Northern Illinois University campus newspaper archives and see no evidence that Markos C. A. Moulitsas, one of their most famous alumni, was ever a staff-writer there at all. For this moment in time, just for today, the essays of the most reactionary and conservative part of MAMZ's known writing history have become unavailable. The links no longer work. The articles already published in about these essays no longer have working links, right now.

I'm sure these MAMZ's essays must still be available somewhere else, and they'll be back on line soon at the Northern Illinois Univeristy's Northern Star campus newspaper. Right?

A significant part of a public figures' history has gone missing, at least for the moment, yesterday and this morning. I'm sure there's a perfectly reasonable explanation and Markos C. A. Moulitsas Zúñiga's essays must be available somewhere else, and will be available again at his alma mater soon. I'll have to call or e-mail the paper and ask why this has occurred. But for me, right now, it's just . . . shocking!
