Gay Bashing and Responses in the Public Square

Bishop Eddie Long of New Birth Missionary Baptist Church in Atlanta,
with Young People from Within His "Ministry"

Some people say Bishop Eddie Long is "innocent until proven guilty."  They forget that Constitutional Due Process includes the right to be considered innocent BY THE GOVERNMENT until proven guilty in a court of law. Nothing compels private citizens to refrain from drawing our own conclusions from the evidence that is available, and nothing compels us to accept or wait for the decision of a jury or judge, in our own opinions and beliefs.

It is true that if we assert to others that private citizens are guilty of a crime or shameful behavior when they are NOT GUILTY of that crime, then we may be liable for slander and/or libel. But TRUTH is a complete defense to a legal action alleging slander or libel. And a fact-based belief that a public figure has committed horrid acts is enough to go on, because public figures criticize homosexuals in the public square and they must expect public scrutiny of themselves as well.

So, if I have enough information to say with some level of certainty that satisfies me that a very public minister figure's actions have been horrid, there is nothing that prevents me, as a private citizen, from saying so, even before the "minister" has been found guilty in a court of law.

Moreover, when the "pastor" is a public figure, his right to allege slander or libel are reduced. When he steps into the national fray to express his opinions about homosexuality, others have a right to express their opinions about HIS sexuality.

I, however, am content to let the information come out, as it sometimes does, and let the public come to its own conclusions, one person (or thousands) at a time.

Many of us are afraid to "smear" public figures, and we define "smear" as "reporting true or false information that makes someone look bad." To me, a smear is reporting FALSE information that makes someone look bad. Meanwhile, reporting TRUE information is what blogs are made for.

Take Markos C. Alberto Moulitsas Zúñiga, for example. Am I smearing him by pointing out to the public that he published a letter in his college newspaper in which he vehemently opposed ALL gay service in the US military, calling it "inherently uncomfortable" and and an assault on his "sensibilities" to serve in the Armed Forces alongside gay people? That's what he said, and while having said so makes him look bad, I am not smearing him by publishing the Truth About Kos.

As quoted at Jack and Jill Politics, one group decided to confront public figures' gaybashing this way:
"Each day for one week Keith and I profiled a Black pastor highlighting his relationship with the Bush Administration, recent homophobic gay comments, and ending with the question, is this pastor gay? "
Hmmmmm. Maybe we should give all public figures, especially people like US Senator Larry Craig and Markos C. Alberto Moulitsas Zúñiga, the same treatment. If we don't know what the 'C' in Moulitsas Zúñiga's name stands for, there's probably a lot more that we don't know.  As Jack and Jill Politics said yesterday,  Where There's Smoke . . .

DailyKos: "Is this a Democratic Blog?" (W/Color-Aroused Comments)

Photobucket

Yesterday at DailyKos, (while I was taking a little vacation) LynneK posted a diary in which she asked in the title, "Is this a Democratic Blog?"  LynneK questioned the sincerity of DailyKos and Markos C.Alberto Moulitsas Zúñiga (MAMZ) receiving advertising dollars from the Republican National Congressional Committee, in exchange for exposing and referring DailyKos viewers to Republican Party.

. . . I must say that in the past few days, some of the ads have made me wonder. In the past 24 hours, at the top of the home page, have been ads for Republican websites, Republican candidate's donation pages, and even an ad for the Republican Congressional Committee.
( . . . )
This morning, the ad for the RNCC was right at the top of the page, while the frontpage articles were all regarding the disaster that is the Republican Party. It felt to me like I had stepped straight into an episode of "The Twilight Zone." It was surreal to see that ad on this site, which has been referred to by the Republican Party as "The Great Orange Satan."
( . . . )
In the comments, Bink  posed the question,

Can We Really Trust (18+ / 0-)

Salvadoran oligarch and CIA mole MAMZ?
Based on the the number of recommendations, at least eighteen other DailyWhitosphere participants saw this question, this conundrum, as one for which they and the public needs an answer.

In the comments to the diary, one poster mentions me by name and makes a clearly color-aroused and antagonistic reference to me.  He writes,

francislholland! (10+ / 0-)

Memories, memories.

One day I will write 'Trolls I Haz Known'.
It will be a funfest of conspiracy, circumcision, and possibly cake.
Affecting a pseudo-"Black English" grammar, e.g. "I HAZ" is a common way that color-aroused white antagonists engage in color-aroused-white antagonistic verbal behavior.  For another example, look to cheeseburger.com  Apparently someone thinks it's funny to post a photograph in which the caption reads,  "Ar u da nu slave I haz hired?"  Cylegage claims that no one knows the skin color of others on the Internet, but this is simply untrue.   Merely by his use of the word "haz" an attempt to be funny, I know that Cylegage is white.

Blacks do not find any of this funny, and this may help to explain why DailyWhitosphere has a four percent Black readership, event though with Blacks constitute 20% of the delegates to the Democratic National Convention--a group with which DailyKos claims to have an alliance. Blacks (4%) and Latinos (1%) don't need or want to go online and engage in sites where we will constantly see whites behaving in ways that are antagonistic to us and to our participation.

Thankfully, we have the Truth About Kos blog, and no one need participate at DailyKos for a nearly a year, as I did, before learning that DK is a blog started by a CIA trainee concurrent with his training to be a "secret agent" (his words) for the CIA.

Photobucket

When a zealous Republican Party and CIA trainee starts an ostensibly left-wing blog, that's not the mark of  leftists "crashing the gates" of the Democratic Party.  It seems more to me like the mark of Republicans and extreme rightists infiltrating the Democratic Party.

If you're looking to participate in a a "liberal," "leftist," or "progressive" blog, then you will probably have to start your own, since the leftistsphere seems to be infiltrated by individuals with thoroughly sources connections to the Republican Party and the CIA (see transcript of MAMZ's confession  and listen to the audiotape based on which the transcription was prepared).

Also, if you want to know what the Democratic Party is thinking, DailyWhitosphere is the wrong place to find out.  As Quantcast is constantly publicizing, 93% of DailyWhitosphere readers are white.  That leaves very little room for the opinions of Blacks (12.8% of the nation and 20% of the Democratic Party, but only 4% aat DailyKos) as well as Latinos (a populous larger than Blacks in this nation, but constituting only 1% of DailyKos readership, plus or minus one percent).  It's certainly worth pondering why a blog started by a second-generation Salvadoran in the US only has 1% participation by Latinos.

LynneK and her eighteen supporters may not be aware of it, but simply by posting this diary or indicating their agreement with it, they may discover that some of the same people who ridiculed this diary will be among those making determined efforts to drive these "truth trolls" (people who insist on pointing out facts and contradictions) away from DailyKos. I am frankly surprised that the censors there permitted the link to this blog.

Best wishes to all of the valiant truth trolls at DailyKos.  Each time you contradict the story that MAMZ and his minions have told about MAMZ and his blog, you create another Google link on the Internet where readers can discover who the real MAMZ really is.

How Markos Moulitsas REALLY Got Rich

truth about kos,CIA,francis l. holland,Jose Antonio Vargas,la prensa gráfica

All too many people believe the literally incredible rags to riches story that Markos C. Alberto Moulitsas Zúñiga told, e.g. La Prensa Grafica, about how he became super rich.  The following quote is from the last paragraph of the La Prensa Gráfica article whose screen shot is above.  (Although the link is copied into the right margin of the screen shot, the link no longer works.  Thank goodness we have a screen shot of this article in which MAMZ told a number of bold-faced lies.)
"In the world before the Internet, someone like me could never have reached this level of success.  I don't have money. I don't come from a famous or powerful family.  I was an immigrant to the United States.  Technology gave me the opportunity to create a publication with more than a million viewers a day without investing a lot of money.   The cost of starting the site was one hundred dollars."
To see how absolutely and purposefully untruthful that is, just refer to a couple of the links cited in The Indictment of Markos C. Alberto Moulitsas ZÚÑIGA (MAMZ) by Justice and History (Updated with Additional Information and Counts):
8). Markos C.A. Moulitsas ZÚÑIGA has told the media, without naming her, that his mother "returned to El Salvador several years ago to run a hotel." San Francisco Gate

9). In fact, Mr. Moulitsas ZÚÑIGA’s family owns a sumptuous and “exclusive” resort hotel and tourism conglomerate in El Salvador called the "Club Joya del Pacífico" (Club Jewel of the Pacific) a unit of which is the (Jaltepeque Suites Hotel).

10). Demonstrating his connection to these, what MAMZ has called "family business" interests, Markos C.A. Moulitsas ZÚÑIGA invited his wife, friends and family to celebrate his honeymoon with him at the this Jaltepeque Suites Hotel after he was married in the year 2000. (For some reason, the original link no longer works. Fortunately, we have two screenshots from his wedding album, including their web addresses, to prove that the album was public before its significance was pointed out. And now it's gone.)
11). Markos C.A. Moulitsas ZÚÑIGA ZÚÑIGA's "family business" actually received five million dollars in foreign investments between 1997 and 2000, immediately before the period in which MAMZ states that he sought work at the CIA because he was "underemployed, unemployed." Audiotape of 2006 Speech to the Commonwealth Club.

12). Carlos Alberto Delgado Zúñiga, the “family” member listed in government records as “manager” of the Moulitsas ZÚÑIGA’s hotel is also president of the “Junta Directiva” of the CÁMARA SALVADOREÑA DE TURISMO (CASATUR), the national tourism board of El Salvador, according to El Salvador's "La Prensa" newspaper. He has aggregated power in El Salvador through participation in a series of interlocking tourism-related directorates and has used this power to facilitate the destruction of the Jaltepeque Estuary by his hotel conglomerate, Club Jewel of the Pacific, even though the Jaltepeque Estuary is universally recognized by international groups as an endangered habitat for imperiled marine life. Why Has Markos C.A. Moulitsas ZÚÑIGA (M.A.M.Z.) Lied About His Wealthy Salvadoran Oligarchy Family Background?

13). Carlos Alberto Delgado Zúñiga, the man listed in public documents as the “manager” of the Moulitsas ZÚÑIGA’s Jaltepeque Suites Hotel, is also president of the “Junta Directiva” of the CÁMARA SALVADOREÑA DE TURISMO (CASATUR), the national tourism board of El Salvador. In addition, he is a member of the member of the “Junta Directiva” of the “Sistema de Integración de Centroamerica” (System for Integration of Central America).

14). The man listed as the manager of the Moulitsas ZÚÑIGA’s hotel is also named in Salvadoran Government documents as the “ADMINISTRADOR UNICO PROPIETARIO” (Administrator Sole Proprietor) of PRODUCTOS TURISTICOS Y OTROS, SOCIEDAD ANONIMA DE CAPITAL VARIABLE - PROTURO, S.A. DE C.V. CNR.GOB.SV: Names and Credentials

15).Proturo, S.A. de C.V. is also known as the “Baja Salt Group,” which does business as “Baja Salt.”

16). Baja Salt distributes table salt and industrial salt in the United States, Japan, Korea, Taiwan, New Zealand, Central and South America, and maintains offices in Odessa, Texas, where President George W. Bush was born. This Odessa, Texas office shares a telephone number, fax number and physical address with a peculiar equipment rental and petroleum industry business, Light Tower Rentals, Ltd, listed along with Halliburton Energy Services Group in the Texas organization records of USA Oilfield. These activities associated with Carlos Alberto Delgado Zúñiga's Baja Salt Group have not been sufficiently explained. See "The Secret "Family Business" of Markos Moulitsas Zúñiga (DailyKos)"

17). Baja Salt is the sole Central American distributor for the salt produced by Mexico’s Exportadora de Sal, S.A. (ESSA).

18). Baja Salt/ESSA is a notorious polluter of pristine grey whale and sea turtle spawning grounds and habitat in Baja Mexico.
Markos Moulitsas got rich simply by being born into the Zúñiga family to a mother who owned a hotel on prime beachfront land in El Salvador. There might be several more answers to the question of how he continues to get rich, but how he initially became rich is explained above.

It seems likely that when Markos Moulitsas' mother dies (which all people do eventually), Moulitsas will inherit a substantial portion of the "family hotel" as well.
