CIA-Trained Blogger Disbursing Money to "Progressives"

Cross-posted at The Truth About Kos (DailyKos) blog.

CIA,Markos Moulitsas,DailyKos,zúñiga

Some of us have wondered what Markos C. Alberto Moulitsas Zúñiga (MAMZ) learned at the CIA during his two year "training" period there. SourceWatch.Org Covers Markos C.A. Moulitsas Zuñiga's (MAMZ) connections to the CIA. Well, now it's more clear than ever that his mission is to increase his influence and build "assets" in the "progressive" blogger community, the better to prevent blogging from getting out of control of the Government.

He says:

. . . there are far more more talented folks out there with great ideas and passion for building a broad-based, grassroots-centric progressive movement that toil in anonymity, or give up because of lack of assistance and acknowledgment. It's imperative that we harness that energy and continue infusing our movement with new talent, new ideas, new technologies, new strategies, and new tactics.

( . . . )

So we have teamed up with Bowers to wed his "Take Flight Microgrants" with our own efforts. The goals are two-fold -- provide seed grants to innovative progressives, and provide larger fellowships to those who show the most promise. In addition to the obvious financial benefits for recipients, we hope that our efforts help shine a spotlight on these talented political entrepreneurs and validate their efforts, encouraging them to persist rather than surrender discouraged.

A big difference from the past -- the Kos Fellowship Program is now a 501(c)(3) organization, which means that contributions are tax deductible. We are using the Tides Foundation Tides Center as our fiscal sponsor.

Kos Media, LLC, will support the project with annual grants approaching (or exceeding, if the economy cooperates) six-figures. However, our ability to support the most innovative among us will require a broader fundraising base.

You can contribute here. Remember, all contributions are tax deductible. Consider, if your financial situation allows, a recurring contribution. Even $5/month adds up.

Over the coming week, you'll be hearing more about this program -- about our plans, and about the people who have already been helped. Sure, this isn't as sexy as beating Republicans in an election, and times are tough, but it's an investment in the people that are making our movement grow. Please help out if you can. TheKos[CIA?]Fellowship

By starting or selecting one "state blog" in virtually every state, and getting virtually all of them blogging credentials at the Democratic National Convention in 2008 (all-white, of course), the CIA-trained Moulitsas Zúñiga has already asserted a stranglehold over blogger access to the Democratic National Convention. Washington Post

Now, he seems to want to make sure that every corner of the "progressive" blogosphere has at least one "asset" who owes his livelihood to MAMZ and works, perhaps, and perhaps unintentionally, and indirectly, for the US Central Intelligence Agency. And for the privilege of being infiltrated by the CIA, MAMZ is requesting that the progressive public contribute to his scholarship fund. That's rich!

I wonder how much money MAMZ family member Carlos Alberto Delgado Zúñiga will be contributing to this enterprise, giving back to America after the Overseas Private Investment Council gave him a million dollars in loan guarantees?

It all makes sense, really. Why should the Government pay for spying on bloggers when there are unwitting and uncritical "progressives" willing to donate money to the CIA-sponsored blog corps? Or maybe the Government will explain the provenance of the money MAMZ distributes by saying that it comes from donations? It's hard to know for certain.

What is certain is that someone who trained at the CIA for two years is now mostly likely using that training to infiltrate the American left's bloggers, assuring that the newfound ability to unite nationally and internationally will not result in national international movements that the Government cannot control.

Look at Jack and Jill Politics, for example: Jack and Jill Politics participates in the secretive Townhouse Group of MAMZ-infiltrated bloggers (take my word for it), and is also receiving an award today from Living Liberally, which is sponsored in part by DailyKos, whose owner was trained for two years by the CIA. Perhaps Jack and Jill Politics doesn't know that this constitutes a clear and present risk of infiltration of the Black blog world by the CIA, but I think it does. I'm SURE it does.

If you want to work for the CIA, or become a CIA asset, there is no better way to get started than by applying for one of these KOS[CIA?]Fellowships. Even if the money isn't coming directly from the CIA, certainly a man like MAMZ, who was at the CIA headquarters in Washington, DC for two years, will have plenty of contacts to get you started as a CIA agent or asset. As he said in an interview at the Commonwealth Club in San Francisco on June 2, 2006, he "went to the end of the process" of being trained to be an undercover agent; he thinks the CIA's "hearts are in the right place"; and he "would have no trouble working for them today". So maybe he DOES work for them today, and maybe he can help you get a job there or at least some indirect CIA support for your blogging.

You, too, can be a blogger mentored and taken under the wing of the CIA.

Of course, some people who are also CIA assets or who are simply imbeciles will insist that MAMZ might have changed since he was trained by the CIA. Even if that were so, training at the CIA is like going to law school: You never forget the tricks you learned there, and you can use them in any profession. Even blogging.

As truthout has said in his YouTube videos about MAMZ: "Once CIA, Always CIA".

MAMZ Admits He Was An "Asshole" When He Campaigned Against Gays in the Military

Friday, May 29, 2009

Welcome to Readers at Joe, My God!

Welcome, readers of the Joe, My God blog. I understand there is some debate over whether President Obama respects gays or not. That's a fair question and gays will surely lobby to make sure their needs and goals are met during this administration.

However, if Markos C. Alberto Moulitsas Zúñiga is telling you that the President is homophobic, I think you should consider the homophobic letter that Moulitsas Zúñiga himself published in his college newspaper, in which he vehemently opposed ALL gay service in the US military and ridiculed Bill Clinton for his efforts to let gays serve openly in the military.

If you want to blame someone for "don't ask, don't tell," then blame the ex-military people like Moulitsas Zúñiga who raised their voices in unison against gays in the military back in 1993, when Bill Clinton made gays in the military one of his first priorities after taking office.

Sure, that Moulitsas Zúñiga letter is from 1993, when Moulitsas Zúñiga was a college freshman. But since that time Moulitsas Zúñiga also spent two years training with the CIA, voted for George H.W. Bush, and worked on the campaign of Republican Henry Hyde (anti-abortion). And remember, Moulitsas Zúñiga wrote the above letter just after Bill Clinton was elected (1992) inaugurated (January 1993), with the purpose of the Moulitsas Zúñiga letter being to prevent Bill Clinton from immediately making good on his promise to let gays serve openly in the military.

Just look at the links in the sidebar of this blog for proof of all of the above beyond a shadow of a doubt. Moulitsas has admitted to writing the above letter, and he says he was an "asshole" for his position back then. I agree with him on that point.

MAMZ Admits He Was An "Asshole" When He Campaigned Against Gays in the Military

But Moulitsas Zúñiga is still an "asshole". The director of Moulitsas Zúñiga's YearlyKos pseudo "progressive" bloggers' gathering, Gina Cooper, told the Washington Post, "I hate using the word 'diversity' ".

Say what you will about President Obama. Only time will tell what he actually does to help gay people to be a more equally accepted part of American society. But, for God's sake don't get your information and orientation about President Obama from a man who has written homophobic screeds against gay people and who admits he spent two years at the CIA training to be a secret agent.

Why Has MAMZ Lied About His Salvadoran Oligarchy Background?

What do We Really Know About Markos C. Alberto Moulitsas Zúñiga?

When I heard President Barack Obama announce the nomination of Sonia Sotomayor to be a justice of the US Supreme Court, I felt what Latino and Black and women and white men of good conscience feel all over America today: ecstatic. From all that we know about her, she will make an excellent justice of the US Supreme Court.

However, as I reflect upon all that we learned about Sonia Sotomayor, including the name of her mother and stepfather, her ex-husband and her mentors, it only makes me wonder more about another public figure about whom we know virtually nothing that is both good and true: Markos C. A. Moulitsas Zúñiga (MAMZ).

First, what do MAMZ's middle initials stand for? Does anyone know? If MAMZ knows, why doesn't he tell us? What, exactly, is he so carefully hiding?

Alright. He has partially corrected his "Who is Markos Moulitsas" FAQ at DailyKos to include the assertion that one of his middle names, his second middle name, is "Alberto", but then why has he omitted the other middle name, the one with which he signed his name when he was a college student?

Why does MAMZ's Dkosopedia biography omit the fact that he spent as much as two years training with the U.S. Central Intelligence Agency between 2001 and the end of 2003, at the same time that he was stating DailyKos. Doesn't the omission of this information leave a two year hole in his resume, in terms of how he was actually spending the bulk of his time during that period? Isn't that a significant omission from a page called "Who Is Kos?"

Isn't it virtually a lie for him to claim that he spent this period starting DailyKos and working on the Howard Dean campaign when he was, as he has confessed, physically engaged in intensive training for a "secret agent" role at the offices of the Central Intelligence Agency in Washington during this period. Why not tell the truth about it?

Why has he stopped using the middle initial "C" in his official biography, and is his official biography truthful when it omits one of his middle names?
Is his middle name a "national security secret"?

Secondly, why has MAMZ insisted so vehemently that:
(Following the Spanish language custom for surnames, his most important surname is "Moulitsas", instead of "Zúniga".) Wikipedia
Is it because the middle name "Alberto" and the last name Zúñiga connect Markos C. A. Moulitsas Zúñiga directly to Carlos Alberto Delgado Zúñiga, the man listed in Salvadoran Government documents as manager of the Zúñiga "family business", the Jaltepeque Suites Hotel, and its parent company, Club Joya del Pacífico?

Was Markos C. Alberto Zúniga named after his (uncle ?), Carlos Alberto Delgado Zúñiga, who is a member of the National Association of Private Enterprise (ANEP) in El Salvador? The US Central Intelligence Agency has classified ANEP as a right-wing "presure group". Carlos Alberto Delgado Zúñiga also sits on the board of the Latin American Federation of Associations of Hotels and Restaurants. Why does Carlos Alberto Delgado Zúñiga's international salt business need an office in Odessa, Texas, where President George W. Bush was born, and where so many oil field businesses are located? Or is that office a front for some activity and persons about whom true progressives would and should be concerned?

Doesn't all of this information conclusively disprove Markos C. Alberto Zúñiga's assertion that he comes from an poor and uninfluential family? I certainly believe that it does, but I would be interested to hear Moulitsas Zúñiga explain these connections himself. Why all the lies?

For example, is all of this why Markos C. Alberto Moulitsas Zúñiga has never told anyone the names of any of the members of his family, and why he has removed his wedding album from the Internet (see screenshots). And why did Moulitsas Zúñiga first post his wedding album on the Internet and then remove it from public access? What is he trying so desperately to hide?

Compare MAMZ to Sonia Sotomayor, whose mother and stepfather were present at her introduction as President Obama's nominee for the US Supreme Court. Why is Second Circuit Judge Sonia Sotomayor able to be so open while Markos C. A. Moulitsas has to be so secretive?

With over two thousand hits for the search "Truth About Kos" at Google, why doesn't Markos C. Alberto Zúñiga answer these questions that the public is asking?

Moulitsas Zúñiga has asserted in the past that he had an uncle who was education minister of El Salvador, but many people have tried to confirm this and been unable to do so. The problem is that Moulitsas Zúñiga has NEVER, EVER told anyone what his uncle's name is. And even with as many as fifty hits a day at this blog trying to discover "the truth about Kos", after two years Moulitsas Zúñiga still hasn't told anyone the name of the uncle whom he claims was minister of education in El Salvador.

This is hardly a personal question to pose, since the minister of education of a country is a very public figure and MAMZ himself is a very public figure. This is an appeal to MAMZ to identify the uncle whom he says was minister of education in El Salvador. Even if the uncle was a right-wing member of the Salvadoran elite who participated in a Government that killed thousands of people during the Salvadoran civil war, I think it's something that we need to know in order to understand Moulitsas Zúñiga in context. And if the uncle simply does not exist then Moulitsas Zúñiga is a liar who tells very big lies.

I urge Moulitsas Zúñiga to do precisely what Sonia Sotomayor did upon her nomination to the US Supreme Court: tell us about your family and why you are proud of them or why you feel you need to keep everything about them as a tightly held secret. Because when member of the public read the details of "The Indictment of Markos Moulitsas Zúñiga by Justice and History", it becomes apparent that the Moulitsas Zúñiga family engages in large national and international businesses, and has received millions of dollars from sources outside El Salvador, including the US Government.

Come clean, Markos C. Alberto Zúñiga! At least tell us how you are related to Carlos Alberto Delgado Zúñiga, who owns Baja Salt Group and is a member of the right-wing political pressure group ANEP.

I'm Looking for a Publisher

Photobucket

I'd like to see my unauthorized biography of MAMZ (Markos C. A. Moulitsas ZÚÑIGA) right next to "Crashing the Gates" in bookstores, except my book will be called, "CIA Agents at the Democratic Ball: How An Undercover Salvadoran Aristocrat CIA Agent Tried to Overthrow the Democratic Party."

Maybe if I had spent two years in training at the CIA, I would have made a group of contacts there who would help me to get my book published? Probably not, because I support anti-war demonstrations while MAMZ opposes them, so the CIA probably wouldn't give me whatever help they've given MAMZ over the years.

Courage Sprouts for Two Days at DailyKos?

There are some men growing balls and women pumping iron over at DailyKos in the last two days. First DemocraticLuntz called for the reinstatement of Francis L. Holland's posting privileges at DailyKos (which is NOT going to happen now that I have written Markos C.A. Moulitsas unauthorized biography and I'm just looking for a place to publish it, aside from at my own blog and the five dozen other blogs who have re-published my original research.

And just a couple of weeks ago, LetTheSunshine was banned at DailyKos for citing my blog's well-referenced research. Citing The Truth About Kos (DailyKos) is becoming a real rite of passage into manhood and womanhood over at DailyWhitosphere.

Just today, So Many Pathetic Shills to Smack Down, a user at DailyWhitosphere suggested six other blogs that people can blog at instead of being intimidated by MAMZ's minions at DailyKos. And he cited an article based on Truth About Kos research that was posted at Conceptual Guerilla from back in 2007, when I prepared and published a transcript of MAMZ's speech June 6, 2006 to the Commonwealth Club speech to the Commonwealth Club and we all learned that MAMZ was as least as dedicated to the CIA as he is to "progressive politics".

Once again in the comments to his diary, diarist So Many Pathetic Shills to Smack Down linked to The Truth About Kos, saying,

I mean, it's not as if there have never been questions before about Markos' dubious past and what his agenda might be in policing left wing dissent and discourse the way he does.
Of course the bullies at DailyKos are already threatening to ban that diarist, as if banning people from DailyKos could remove the 1,500,000 hits at Google for the search "Kos and CIA". In spite of the bullies, it seems like some people at DailyWhitosphere are coming to value telling the truth more than they value people-pleasing the MAMZ minions. People like myself would rather tell the truth once and be killed for it than tell lies for a lifetime and go straight to hell for it.

It's considered treasonous at DailyKos to quote or link to Francis L. Holland, but people at DailyWhitosphere still remember me two years after I was exiled. I guess they've found that exiling me is easy, but getting rid of me is quite a lot harder.

Anyway, today Buhdydharma
posted a diary in which he quotes the banned detoqueville as saying,
I want to thank everyone who supported my reinstatement - be it out of friendship or on principle. I really do appreciate it. But alas, I will not be seeking reinstatement. It is Kos's website, all his own, and so it is his decision.
( . . . )
I was just locked out. That is a lot of power for one individual to have over another. And that's one of the reasons I haven't asked to be reinstated and would not accept it if it was offered. I will never allow someone to have that kind of power over me again.
I have never seen such solidarity among dissidents at DailyKos. But, I disagree with detoqueville on this point: Markos C.A. Moulitsas (MAMZ) says that his website is uniquely important and helps to make policy and politicians' careers within the Democratic Party. MAMZ seeks to "crash the gates" of the Democratic Party and remake it in his own image.

If MAMZ is as influential in the Democratic Party as he thinks he is, or as he wants to be, then does he really have a right to use his "powerful blog" as a vehicle to agrandize himself and stifle all dissent within his own private fiefdom? Can and should a blog that makes opinion really belong to ONE person who was trained by the Central Intelligence Agency? Does he have a right to treat others like mere vassals and, if so, what would a U.S. Government look like if His CIA Kosness were running it from the top down?

Nothing about what MAMZ proposes makes any sense to me. Does it make any sense to you?

If given the chance to really implement policy in America, wouldn't His Grandiose Kosness ban free speech in all of America, in the very same way he bans free speech in his own private little fiefdom called DailyWhitosphere? (I mean "DailyKos".) A politician (and MAMZ is a politician) who strives to drown free speech anywhere is a politican who despertely seeks the power to strange free speech everywhere.

Why Does Democratic Luntz Want to Be Banned At DailyKos?

DemocraticLuntz has been around at DailyKos for quite some time, over two years, so why has he decided now that he wants to be banned from participation there? He must know that linking to anything I've written is considered to be treasonous by the DailyKos minions whose job is to keep negative information about Kos from being disseminated among the DailyKos faithful.

I keep an eye on my SiteMeter for this blog to find out who has gotten the news from The Truth About Kos blog that Markos C.A. Moulitsas Zúñiga (MAMZ) spent two years training at the CIA (listen to the audiotape of him confessing), and also wrote an outrageously homophobic rant for his college newspaper back in 1993.

Today, I've received sixty-seven hits and more coming directly from a link in an article at DailyKos, and I know why. A poster by the name of DemocraticLuntz (bless his heart, at least for today) has linked to my extremely well-known article entitled, "The Indictment of Markos C.A. Moulitsas ZÚÑIGA by Justice and History (Updated with Additional Information and Counts)".

Because of that article, and links to it from over sixty blogs, everyone who has ever Googled "Moulitsas" and "CIA" together (over 31,000 hits) knows that Moulitsas spent two years training at the CIA at the same time he was starting DailyKos. (Again, you'll find the link to his audio-taped admission in the sidebar here.) And they've read his homophobic rant from when, as he acknowledged at DailyKos, he was an "asshole".

Even before I started this blog, I had become notorious at DailyKos, because my articles regularly drew between 150 and as many as 400 comments. In a meritocracy, I would have been hired as a writer rather than banned. But, I gored Al Gore for his reliance on the white male supremacy paradigm as the key to his success, and I made John Edwards look like the very same liar and manipulator that his own recent behavior has proven him to be. Everyone hated me for goring their favorite politicians, but it was necessary.

I predicted in 2006 that the end of the 43-term white male monopoly of the presidency would come in 2008, and I was determined to do everything in my power to make sure we DID end the white male monopoly of the presidency in 2008 . People at DailyKos did not see that as a worthy goal, because they thought it quite natural that EVERY president of the United Staates be a white man.

I was "controversial" in my arguments, according to TheAmericanProspect.Com. I was also prophetic, but DailyKos is not the place for prophets. It's a field of sheep where CIA-trained MAMZ is the sheepherder.

Everyone at DailyKos hated me for predicting that the43-term white male monopoly of the presidency would end in 2008, because they all had wet panties or a hard-on for some white male candidate, like Al Gore, John Edwards, Mark Warner . . . Anyone as long as he was a "realistically electable" white man.

Instead of admitting that what I said was prophetic, they called me a "racist" and a "monkey" and then banned my participation there. It just shows how much they know. I predicted the end of the 43-term white male monopoly of the presidency as early as 2006, just before I was banned from participation at DailyKos.

Since I hate Markos Moulitsas (I hate all infiltrators and agent provocateurs of progressive movements) I think DemocraticLuntz over at DailyKos must not want to participate their anymore, he must know that linking to anything I say is considered treasonous over there, particularly when I have focused my forty-five caliber research and writing on Markos C.A. Moulitsas Zúniga himself.

(What does the "C. A." in Markos C.A. Moulitsas ZÚÑIGA's name stand for, and why can't we find out just by reading Moulitsas' Wikipedia.org or SourceWatch.org pages? I believe it's because there are some DEEP DARK secrets hidden behind those middle initials. Perhaps MAMZ has those initials because he was named after his uncle (?), Carlos Alberto Delgado Zúñiga, the “family” member listed in government records as “manager” of the Moulitsas ZÚÑIGA’s "family hotel", who is also president of the “Junta Directiva” of the CÁMARA SALVADOREÑA DE TURISMO (CASATUR), the national tourism board of El Salvador, according to El Salvador's "La Prensa" newspaper.) The same uncle (?) who own Baja Salt Group, the sole Central and South American distributor for a Mexican table and industrial salt corporation, E.S.S.A.

That's too much information for anyone at DailyKos to know about their "progressive" "leftist" leader. Who will believe that MAMZ is a progressive when they learn that his uncle (?) is one of the most influential hotel conglomerate and salt wholesalers in Latin America? Who will believe MAMZ is "progressive" when they learn that his uncle (?) is an integral member of a ANEP, which the CIA has called a right-wing "pressure group"? It's all in the Indictment.

Everyone who has participated at DailyKos for more than a month knows that linking to anything I have written is considered per se cause for being hounded and harrassed and banned from DailyKos. I am so persona non grata over there that you can only mention my name derisively, but certainly not as the source for original extensively researched and linked damning information proving that MAMZ has lied up and down about his personal and family background and that he is therefore most likely a CIA agent or asset.

After you read the links in the Indictment, what more do you need to conclude that MAMZ must be a CIA agent or asset? Do you want him to brand "CIA" on his own forehead before you will accept that he meant what he said when he said, "I would have no problem working for the CIA today"?

I don't usually read DailyKos, but I think I'll go read the comments to DemocraticLuntz's article, (unless it's been taken down already), so I can see how many DailyKos participants insist that they have friends in the CIA and being a CIA agent really isn't so bad. You know what? I don't have any friends in the CIA and I don't want any. I feel the same way about CIA agents that Markos C. A. Moulitsas Zúñiga feels about homosexuals.

UPDATE: Look for ZiggyDove to be banned at DailyKos as well. I thought the 500+ comments on DemocraticLuntz article were a complete and very intentional waste of time. (Inane and off-topic comments is how the MAMZ minions at DailyKos tell and warn other readers not to take a serious article seriously.) Just when I thought there were 500 intentionally childish and inane comments, I read this from ZiggyDove:

Free Speech (0+ / 0-)

Free speech is always a problem on many different levels. But free speech is just what it is. Either you understand the concept or you don't. I have problems with the 'Anne Frank' label. How dare anyone use her name as a handle or anything else? But free speech allows this. Kos apparently has problems with free speech as it relates to 911 & that's a real limitation now in terms of any discussion about torture and those confessions that were the basis of the 911 commission. This one example indicates the problems with any restriction of free speech. You have to have some faith that the sledge will go over the damn and that most people, given time, will realize the reality of any situation. And the ability to promote freedom of speech, which is really freedom of knowledge, will promote a better understanding for our society as a whole. ZiggyDove

Well, Ziggy, you've made good use of your last posting privileges at DailyKos. Anyone who strongly defends those who have been banned is going to be banned on the spot. So, those who don't want to be banned will follow the lead of the MAMZ minions and say something utterly off-topic and inane rather than address the substantive issue that DemocraticLuntz raises in his article today.

Transcript of Markos C.A.Moulitsas ZÚÑIGA's June 6, 2006 Speech to Commonwealth Club, Confessing to Two Years "Training" at the CIA While Starting DK

Note: I first published this article at MyLeftWing, before StuPiddy pointed out, based on my timeline, that Markos Moulitsas MUST have spent as much as two years at the CIA, based on his confession in his speech to the Commonwealth Club on June 6, 2006.

Markos Moulitsas (DailyKos)
Spent Six Months Working at the US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA)

"As an organization their heart is in the right place. I've never had any problem with the CIA." -- Markos Moulitsas Zúniga, June 2, 2006.

Hat Tip to Stu Piddy, and cross-posted at the Francis L. Holland Blog.

Markos Moulitsas Zúniga, owner of the DailyKos website, now admits that he spent six months in the employ of the US Central Intelligence Agency in 2001. In a one-hour interview on June 2, 2006 interview at the Commonwealth Club, Moulitsas, also known as "Kos," admitted that he was a CIA employee and would have "no problem working for them" in the present:

QUESTION: Not long ago, liberals loathed the Central Intelligence Agency as the enemy of democratic governments and they installed dictators around the world, and these days you read the papers and people on the Left are rallying to the defense of the CIA and are indignant when the CIA is politicized. How did this come about, that suddenly liberals are championing the CIA:

MARKOS' ANSWER: I don't know. You know I.

QUESTION: Do you find it stranger or ironic, this sudden love for the CIA?

MARKOS' ANSWER: You know . . . coughs . . . I think a lot of the people that didhave problems with the CIA, I mean it was a very vocal minority.

francislholland :: Markos Moulitsas Admits WANTING TO Work for the CIA

MARKOS' ANSWER: You know . . . coughs . . . I think a lot of the people that didhave problems with the CIA, I mean it was a very vocal minority. I think most people really didn't think about it all that much. Right? It wasn't really on their radar screens, ah, in the way that now it is, because now we are in this huge war, and it was the CIA that was warning the Administration against invading because, there were no weapons of mass destruction.

Here's a little secret I don't think I've ever written about: But in 2001, I was unemployed, underemployed, unemployed. You know I was in that . . You all have been there "dot com" people? Kinda like, in between jobs, doin' a little contract work and . . . kinda. So, you know. That's where I was: in this really horrible netherworld of 'will I make rent next month' and . . .

So, I applied to the CIA and I went all the way to the end, I mean it was to the point where I was going to sign papers to become Clandestine Services. And it was at that point that the Howard Dean campaign took off and I had to make a decision whether I was gonna kinda join the Howard Dean campaign, that whole process, or was I was going to become a spy. (Laughter in the audience.) It was going to be a tough decision at first, but then the CIA insisted that if, if I joined that, they'd want me to do the first duty assignment in Washington, DC, and I hate Washington, DC. Six years in Washington, DC [inaudible] that makes the decision a lot easier.

[ . . .] This is a very liberal institution. And in a lot of ways, it really does attract people who want to make a better, you know, want to make the world a better place . . . Of course, they've got their Dirty Ops and this and that, right but as an institution itself the CIA is really interested in stable world. That's what they're interested in. And stable worlds aren't created by destabilizing regimes and creating wars. Their done so by other means. Assassination labor leaders . . . I'm kidding!

[ . . . ] I don't think it's a very partisan thing to want a stable world. And even if you're protecting American interests, I mean that can get ugly at times, but generally speaking I think their hearts in the right place. As an organization their heart is in the right place. I've never had any problem with the CIA. I'd have no problem working for them . .

* * * * *

I feared something like this was coming. I warned America back on June 2, 2006 that Markos Moulitsas was "an exquisite little crank," but I remained extremely concerned that he might not be utterly discredited before he was able to steer the Democrats' presidential nomination in 2008.

That's why I started the blog called "The Truth About Markos" in which I said, in an article entitled "The Rehabilitation of Markos Moulitsas,"

Today, Markos Moulitsas, is the doctrinaire leftist publisher of the DailyKos "progressive" anti-war blog, railing against the moderation of candidates like Hillary Rodham Clinton and Harold Ford. But in the 1980's, Mr. Moulitsas was an unabashed Reagan Democrat, even working as a campaign aid to George H.W. Bush in the 1992 Presidential election. WASHINGTON MONTHLY FRANCIS L. HOLLAND BLOG
Last year, in a piece Markos wrote for the Cato (libertarian) Institute, Markos acknowledged that the spent the 1980's as a Reagan Republican. MARKOS' CATO ARTICLE, Yes, "Progessive" Markos of DailyKos was a Reagan Republican!!!!!!!!

How did Markos achieve this stunning metamorphosis in just a few short years? Actually, nobody knows and Markos isn't telling. He has told interviewers, improbably, that he last voted for the Republicans in 1992, because he suddenly realized that they didn't support "states rights" as strongly as he would have liked.

Now, I need no longer worry. Democrats will no longer listen to Markos Moulitsas unless they want their presidential candidate to be chosen by an agent of the Central Intelligence Agency.

But there is so much to say about this. I was banned from participation in MyDD and notified in writing that the banning was because I violated the unspoken rule against criticizing Markos Moulitsas. But I insisted at DailyKos and MyDD that I would prefer to be banned for criticizing someone like Markos than to be ashamed later for having failed to criticize him.

There's another lesson to be learned here. Black people are the Left's "canary in the coal-mine." If you find that you are part of "progressive organization" that has no Black people, you should ask yourself if, perhaps, Black people have legitimate and fundamentally ethical reasons why they refuse to participate, or why we critize. In this case, the reason is that Markos Moulitsas is a Reaganite ex-CIA operative in training. We intuitively do not trust people like that to lead progressive movements.

Each of us in the progressive movement has an obligation to keep his/her eyes open and ward against government and other covert attempts to to destroy or divert our movement. I have criticized and warned the public about Markos Moulitsas because I believe he represents precisely that sort of threat of covert subversion. With the news that Markos was a CIA employee, I feel I have been vindicated and that the role of of the Afrosphere and the historical role of Blacks as the vanguard of the Left has been vindicated.

Markos C.A. Moulitsas Zúñiga Refuses to Refute CIA Connections

For almost two years the Truth About Kos has disseminated the information that Markos C.A. Moulitsas Zúñiga, according to his own words, was trained (and/or worked) at the CIA between 2001 and 2003. And yet, over the last two years, while Google has amassed over 26,000 hits connecting the search terms "Moulitsas" and "CIA", still Moulitsas Zúñiga has never come forward to deny or explain his contacts with the CIA.

He did, however, come forward and acknowledge other information gathered by the Truth About Kos Blog, e.g. that he was a Republican for most of his life before starting DailyKos, and that he wrote a college newspaper opinion piece in which he vigorously opposed ALL gay service in the military.

The Indictment of Markos C.A. Moulitsas ZÚÑIGA by Justice and History (Updated with Additional Information and Counts)

So, why doesn't Moulitsas Zúñiga come forward to deny or explain the other facts at Truth About Kos, e.g. the amazing wealth, influence and right-wing politics of his family in El Salvador? Does he think the public and the media will just not notice the 26,000 hits at Google referring to these facts? Or is he afraid to comment because to do so will just bring more attention to truths that he cannot possibly refute?
