Simon and Schuster Looking at Truth About Kos (DailyKos) Project?

Photobucket

Cross-posted at NowPublic.Com.

This post is an acknowledgement of the interest that one anonymous user at Simon and Schuster has expressed in learning about the "Truth About Kos (DailyKos)" Project, which I believe should be published in book form. (I have partially excluded their IP address to avoid identifying them prematurely.) The only suggestion I have that such a project could materialize is the fact that my site counter shows a visit to The Truth About Kos from someone at Simon and Schuster.

The Truth About Kos blog constitutes a complete book proposal, with the The Indictment of Markos C.A. Moulitsas ZÚÑIGA by Justice and History (Updated with Additional Information and Counts) serving as an book outline and many of the 105 pages within this blog serving as draft chapters for the book, particularly when combined with some of the relevant BANNED DailyKos Essays of Francis L. Holland.

One humorous, tongue in cheek but largely factual essay that Simon and Schuster (and other potential publishers) will certainly want to review is "The 10 Unwritten Rules of Speech at DailyKos", by francislholland. This essay includes some prescient predictions about the outcome of the 2008 Democratic presidential primaries and the 2008 election.

It is reprinted below for Simon and Schuster, other potential publishers, and the amusement and edification of readers of The Truth About Kos (DailyKos). (I imagine that Kos minions will be making furious telephone calls to Simon and Schuster and to their CIA handlers in attemps to suppress any publication of this book. Good luck! The truth always comes out sooner or later.

Please note that I wrote the following essay before I learned that the owner and founder of DailyKos was a Reagan Republican who voted for George H.W. Bush, wrote adamantly against ALL gays in the military, campaigned for Rep. Henry Hyde (who led the Clinton impeachment hearings in the US House of Reprentatives and as a fiece opponent of abortion rights). I also did not know when I wrote the following essay that the owner of DailyKos had spent two years training to be a "secret agent" at CIA offices in Washington, DC. The Indictment of Markos C.A. Moulitsas ZÚÑIGA by Justice and History

Had I known these facts, I would never have referred to DailyKos as a "leftist", "progressive" site whithout putting these terms within quotation marks and explaining that they were utterly false, and are propaganda most likely the result CIA psy-ops propaganda directed primarily at progressives the media and even conservatives.

How to Avoid Violating the 10 Unwritten Rules of the DailyKos Public Opinion Governance Board (DKPOGB)

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

I have participated at the DailyKos site for approximately a year, drawn here by the opportunity to support the liberal woman Democrat, Hillary Clinton, in this fiery furnace of Hillary haters and Al Gore lovers that only DailyKos can provide. Over this time, I have come to learn many of the written and unwritten rules of speech here, and I would like to share particularly the unwritten rules with new users.

This is especially important at the present time. I believe there may be an explosion of new users at DailyKos when US Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton announces her candidacy for President of the United States, and I would like to help pro-Hillary users to participate in this site without being banned for posting "flame-bait" comments or diaries. Therefore, aware that to do so is forbidden, I state here, only partially "tongue in check", the ten unwritten speech rules that govern permissible speech at DailyKos:

  1. It is permissible to support Hillary Rodham Clinton at DailyKos, but it is considered to be in extremely poor taste to actually say so in writing. This is because DailyKos is principally a website for the leftward parts of the Democratic spectrum – progressives who prefer ex-DLC Al Gore or present DLC-member John Edwards or even the Reverend David Duke – anybody but Hillary Clinton!
  1. People who say positive things about Hillary Clinton are known as "Hillary-Shills" at DailyKos. This is because it is taken for granted at DK that no American would regularly express support for Hillary Clinton unless he was being paid to do so.
  1. If you are being paid to support Hillary Clinton, you should say so. If you say you are not being paid, no one will believe you. You must understand this about DailyKos logic if you wish to maintain your posting privileges: The 35% of Democrats nationally who tell pollsters that they want Hillary Clinton for President are all paid members of Hillary Clinton’s campaign staff. If you are a Hillary Shill as I am, you should say so.
  1. It is permissible at DailyKos to discuss the "New Al Gore" with glowing admiration and complete credulity. However, only a "troll" would mention the "Old Al Gore" who is compelled by logic to exist to exactly the same extent that the "New Al Gore" exists. Forget that. Suspend disbelief at DailyKos. You may discuss the "New Al Gore" at DailyKos and any critical reference to Al Gore’s actual record can be dismissed with the dismissive phrase, "But Al Gore is a "New Man". But you must NOT discuss the "old Al Gore". New exists. Old does not. Got that?

(The "New Al" Gore is in no way related to the "Hombre Nuevo" ("New Man") concept that was a rhetorical and theoretical construct of the Sandinista government in Nicaragua. Because in Nicaragua, it was explicitly acknowledged that the mature "New Man" was the socialist alternative to the retrograde capitalist imperial lap dog pre-Ortega "Old Man".

(OOPS! I’ve broken Rule 36: "Don’t post phrases or quotes in any language that monolingual English-speakers might not understand!)

Al Gore is "new" today, but he was never "old" yesterday. Please make no reference to the "old Al Gore" at DailyKos. The majority of contributors at DailyKos like Al Gore and, if you criticize him, you may well lose your posting privileges at DailyKos.

  1. "Troll Behavior" is not acceptable at DailyKos. Among types of behavior considered characteristic of trolls is (a) starting arguments by repeatedly supporting Hillary Clinton, (b) repeatedly mentioning the failings of Hillary Clinton’s opponents while disregarding the feelings and aesthetic tastes of other DailyKos members.
  1. The rules of citation at DailyKos. If you are John Sirota, you may criticize anyone as long and as often as you like without offering any actual proof (citations) for your contentions. But, if you are a Hillary Clinton supporter, you ought never to allude to positives about Hillary or negatives about her opponents, with or without proof. If you do, you are presumptively what we here at DailyKos call a "Hillary Shill". (See above.)
  1. DailyKos is a progressive site with a progressive record on matters of gender and color. It is permissible to mention sexism and color-based antagonism at DailyKos, but not more than once per year. If you mention these societal scourges once, you have done your part in erasing them. If you mention them more than once, you have a "chip on your shoulder" and you are a "cry baby".
  1. Please be aware that only 2% of DailyKos users are Black. Mind the Gap!

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

  1. If you are Black and are looking for a place to vent about two hundred years of skin-color-aroused injustice in America, DAILYKOS IS NOT THAT PLACE. First of all, there are very few people here who will have any idea what you are talking about. And second, they are not interested.
  1. Participants at DailyKos do not hold any biases against women or minorities. But if you think it is time for a woman or non white-male to be President of the United States, you ought not say so at DailyKos. The DailyKos Public Opinion Governance Board (DKPOGB) has a strict and clear policy about this: The DKPOGB favors 'the best white man' for the Presidency, regardless of his "race" or gender. There simply is no good reason for a woman or someone who is not a white male to be President, and it is irresponsible "Troll Behavior" to say otherwise.

Rule 10(a) Do not post tags with you diary in combination with unpopular opinions. If you do, these tags will be removed by DK Trusted Users who were elected by their peers to perform this function. You see, if unpopular opinions are combined with Tags, and then readers might actually find, read and be swayed by your unpopular opinions. That is not permitted at DailyKos, unless you are expressing ideas with which the Trusted Users are in agreement.

Rule 10(b) If, after reading these rules, you do not feel that you can embrace them, then maybe DailyKos is not really the place for you. It is not that we don’t like you, but you might be more comfortable at another blog where people like you are more common. You see, DailyKos is really intended as a leftist white heterosexual. ECHO CHAMBER If you do not echo what others say, you may be severely reprimanded.

I hope I have successfully explained the DailyKos rules to newcomers, because I fear I may not have another chance to do so before my posting privileges are taken away. I’m about to be visited by the DKPOGB!

AUTHOR'S NOTE: DailyKos participants who disagree with the opinions expressed and facts reported in this diary are encouraged to do so by offering other opionions and facts rather than by deleting the diary Tags that enable other readers to find this diary. Only trusted DailyKos users (TU's) can delete tags. DK FAQ RE: TAGS Deleting Tags is a form of censorship and/or childish vandalism that has no place and should not be tolerated at DailyKos.

AUTHOR'S INQUIRY: Would somebody please explain to me why this diary has been troll rated five times, if not as punishment for violating the (tongue partially in cheek) rules listed above?

UPDATE: One or more DK trusted users have removed the tags from this diary, including the "satire" tag. This could have the perverse effect of leading people to believe that everything said here was said seriously. If you must vandalize tags, at least leave the satire tag intact. That approach would seem to be in keeping with the purpose of the obligatory satire tag: warning readers that verbal ironies may be included and should not be taken at face value.

Mainstream Media More Transparent, Reliable than DailyKos Blog

The Secret History of DailyKos' Founder
and the Shadowy History of a Big Box Blog

Cross-posted at the Francis L. Holland Blog
and The Truth About Kos (DailyKos).

Having written letters to the editor of newspapers, including one published in the Boston Globe, and having written opinion pieces for many newspapers and successfully published hundreds of press releases (see blog sidebar), I know that the mainstream media refuses to print articles without at least a name, address, telephone number and author's title (where applicable). Print newspapers and magazines telephone call authors to confirm their identities and credentials, doing at least a bare minimum of due dilligence.

Then, at the bottom of print media opinion pieces, the articles often state the professional position(s) and associations of the author that ostensibly gives him or her special insight into the subject matter.

The American blogosphere, although it talks much about the importance of transparency in government and media, nonetheless maintains a CIA-like secrecy about the identities of its authors, purposefully obscuring the identities and biases associated with opinions and the onstensible "facts" that are published in "diaries" stories and comments at such blogs. Since Moulitsas Zúñiga trained for two years at the Central Intelligence Agency while he was starting DailyKos, it ought to surprise no one that his blog prizes the anonymity and plausible deniability for which the CIA itself is known.

The American blogosphere functions more like a conspiratorial group commiting crimes and trying to avoid punishment than a transparent source of reliable information. The best example of this is Mark Moulitsas, AKA Markos C. A. Moulitsas, AKA Markos Moulitsas, AKA Markos Moulitsas Zúñiga. Although he would obviously like to be the most important political figure in Democratic politics, even his birth name remains a mystery, which is all the more important because everything he has said about his family background is demonstrably false.

Whatever his name is, it is certainly not what he says it is, if only because he has given his name in so many different ways over his short life. Although he used the middle initial "C" in college, he has never told the public what it stands for. At times he has used it and at other times he simply has denied the initial exists at all, as with his Wikipedia page which says that he was "born Markos Moulitsas Zúñiga".

It is natural that someone will eventually want to write a biography of this enigmatic figure and such a biography would, at the very least, have to begin with his full, real and complete name.

This is all the more important because, in all of the articles and typeface that have been spent (wasted) on this individual, it seems that no one has been able to identify and interview a single member of his birth family.

I believe that only the Truth About Kos (DailyKos) has researched, identified and published a photograph and the name of a member of his family.

I believe that, given MAMZ's pretensions, the public needs to know at least as much about his background as they know about mine. And yet, not a single reporter has apparently ever spoken with a member of MAMZ's blood family, on the Moulitsas side or the Zúñiga side, with respect to MAMZ himself. However, reporters have spoken with one relative, Carlos Alberto Delgado Zúñiga, on many occasions, because he is one of the wealthies and most influential members of the El Salvadoran oligarchy and named as a official of a CIA-identified right-wing Salvadoran "pressure group" called the National Association of Private Businesses (ANEP).

Humble family, huh?

This is why I suggest that most of us probably know far more about the publisher of our local weekly newpaper than we know about this man who would like to run the Democratic Party without ever having been elected to do so. Rather than run for election to the power he seeks, where the media scrutiny would be more intense and less credulous, he seeks to amass power by spreading money around among our elected leaders and would be leaders.

And so, what distinguishes Markos C. A. Moulitsas Zúñiga from the Texas oilmen and right-wing Republican money bundlers who seek to turn our government officials into well-paid guardians of their personal wealth and puppets in their schemes for geopolitical power? Don't they all want to buy, with cold hard cash, more influence in our government than individual voters can have at the polls?

Shouldn't someone like MAMZ be required to register as a lobbyist, so that his contributions and political behavior can be more thoroughly scrutinized, according to the laws that govern the behavior of people who spread around political payola?

Some readers will insist that MAMZ's good deeds and motives are reasons why we should trust him, even though we know virtually nothing about his background, and what we do know only raises more troublesome and fundamentally important questions. Many of those who wanted so desperately to believe in the veracity and unquestionable goodness of Senator John Edwards are the same credulous Easter Bunny supporters who insist that it is wrong and bad to desire and to seek more background information about MAMZ now.

They may even insist that MAMZ's family has a right to its privacy, which might be true if they were not the recipients of million dollar US Government loan guarantees supplied by the taxpayers of the United States of America through the Overseas Investment Council (OPIC). Just seach the text of the OPIC press release for the name "Baja Salt" and then go to the Baja Salt Group website to see who the owner is. (The "manager of Markos C. A. Moulitsas "family hotel". That's right! The link no longer works. It's a darned good thing we have screen shots of the now defunct Moulitsas Zúñiga online wedding/honeymoon album, celebrated at the "family hotel".)

As the truth of MAMZ's hidden family background and professional associations become more generally known, many MAMZ supporters, members of the media and the disinvolved general public will wonder how they could have been so deeply taken in by a man about whom so very little was known. John Edwards, meet Markos Moulitsas. Both of these men's wholesomeness and goodness are so self-evident that there is no need, many believe, to follow the facts where the ineluctably and implacably lead.

Has the Afrosphere Been Infiltrated by CIA Agents and/or Assets?

Photobucket

This post is in response to a post I read over at Jack and Jill Politics, entitled, "Jill [Contee] is Headed to Blogging While Brown on Friday."

I'd be really interested to know how a panel at Blogging While Brown came to be named "Netroots in Action"? I did a study of the whitosphere's Netroots Nation website last year and I discovered that there was not ONE SINGLE INSTANCE of the following words being used on the website for the 2008 conference: "Black", "African-American", "Latino" and "Diversity".

Of course it makes sense that "diversity" would NEVER be used on the website since Gina Cooper told the Washington Post last year, "I hate to use the word 'diversity'". Yeah, Gina, and it shows.

"A Diversity of Opinion, if Not Opinionators: At the Yearly Kos Bloggers' Convention, a Sea of Middle-Aged White Males"
By Jose Antonio Vargas
Washington Post Staff Writer

So, what I can't understand is why we Blacks have adopted the term "Netroots in Action" when the whitosphere's Netroots doesn't mention us even ONE SINGLE TIME in the program of THEIR yearly conference. Why don't we call it "Afrosphere in Action", for example. Those whites refuse to type the word "Black" even once in their online Netroots Nation program. They refuse to type the phrase "African American" even once. And pseudo-Latino Markos C. Alberto Moulitsas Zúñiga won't even put the word "Latino" even once in the program of the Netroots Nation.

But that shouldn't surprise us, because he has said he ISN'T Latino in the past. After a week in which he was obliged to write about "racism" on campus during college for his college newspaper, he wrote in the college newspaper that he was relieved not to have to think about "racism" anymore:

"And as I left the ugly reality of racism behind, it struck me that what was such an easy and trivial exercise for me would be impossible for anyone whose skin color or religious persuassion (sic) made them the target of bigotry and discrimination. THEY would never be able to escape who THEY were." (Capital letters added.)
"Markos Moulitsas: A Lifetime Insensitive to Democratic Constituencies"
I think that when he said, "THEY", he was referring to those poor suffering Blacks and Latinos, with whom Markos Moulitsas had nothing at all in common.

So, you know what the result of calling a panel at this conference "Netroots in Action" will be, right? When the press covers the conference, they will say it is part of the Netroots (white people) and white people will get credit for putting on and accepting a conference that they have absolutely nothing to do with. And those in the whitosphere will say, "Look, the Netroots IS integrated!" We have all of those Black people (segregated) over there at 'our' Netroots Blogging While Black conference!" And the whole point of naming the conference "Blogging While Black" wlll be rhetorically lost.

To me, this is a strategic mistake of phenomenal proportions.

Well, but then who am I to tell people what to do? Go ahead and call your sweat and hard work netroots and thereby give Gina Cooper part of the credit for your efforts, even though she's told a national newspaper, "I hate to use the word diversity!" Next year, you can have a panel called the "David Duke Conference of Blogosphere Diversity."

When the press comes to Blogging While Black, be sure to use the term "netroots" as often as possible, so that CIA trained Markos C. Alberto Moulitsas (2 years training to be a secret agent of the CIA) can take credit for all of the work that you've done, AND have political cover for his virtually all-lilly-white Netroots Nation conference.

Oh yeah! And while you're calling using the name "Netroots", remember that those Netroots didn't give you Black people even one single State Blogger Chair on the floor of the Democratic National Convention. THAT Netroots corps was ALL-WHITE!

I'm not done yet! I keep asking myself how Black people can bear to have anything at all to do with 2-year CIA trainees like Markos C. Alberto Moulitsas Zúñiga? I think the answer is that we are not infiltrating the whiteroots but the whiteroots is infiltrating the afrosphere. SourceWatch.Org And now I discover that our own Jill Tubman (AKA Cheryl Contee of Jack and Jill Politics) is on the Board of Directors of Whiteroots Nation?!

If I were still a member of the AfroSpear (from which I recently resigned) I would propose a rule that no member of the AfroSpear can sit on a board of any agency or corporation which has another board member who has been trained to be a "secret agent" by the CIA. I may be alone in this, but I've always believed that Black people's interests were in direct opposition to the interests being served by the Central Intelligence Agency, and so I see a clear conflict of interests here. The AfroSpear was formed as an alternative to the whitosphere - not as an adjunct to it or a segregated ghetto of it.

Maybe Black bloggers are also being infiltrated by the whiteroots through the secretive TownHouse group, of which CIA trainee Moulitsas-Zuñiga is a member. Maybe there are even some Black members of that CIA-sponsored(?) TownHouse Group, and maybe that's why the WhiteRoots find themselves in the highly ironic position of being able to put their "Netroots" whitosphere name within our "Blogging While Black" conference.

I would have hoped that Black people had learned something about the risks of infiltration by reading the US Congress's Report on Co-Intel-Pro, which was the FBI infiltration and annihilation of the Black Panther Party. I guess not. I'm becoming more and more convinced that the afrosphere has been infiltrated and risks being politically and rhetorically neutered.

We had so much promise before we began interacting and collaborating with that Markos C. Alberto Moulitsas Zúñiga, who admits that he spent two years in training with the CIA and whose family businesses in El Salvador have received a one million dollar loan guarantee from the US Overseas Private Investment Council (OPIC).

The Indictment of Markos C.A. Moulitsas ZÚÑIGA by Justice and History (Updated with Additional Information and Counts)

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

INDICTED BY THE FACTS

Having discovered that Markos C. A.Moulitsas ZÚÑIGA (MAMZ), (founder and owner of DailyKos) has a long history of participation in and support of the Republican Party and, moreover, trained or worked or "interviewed" with the US Central Intelligence Agency in 2001, now research into the life and history of Markos C. A. Moulitsas ZÚÑIGA (MAMZ) has revealed and established the following facts and, therefore, justice and history now bring this thirty-one count indictment of Markos C. A. Moulitsas ZÚÑIGA (MAMZ):

1). Markos C. A. Moulitsas ZÚÑIGA was actively at Central Intelligence Agency offices in Washington, DC, training to become a CIA agent for two years, between 2001 and 2003, with or without pay. (Listen carefully to MAMZ's speech to the Commonwealth Club, San Francisco, on June 2, 2006.) He says that he started training at the CIA to be a "secret agent" in 2001 and finished his training when the Howard Dean campaign took off, which was in 2003. Since secret agents are trained to offer cover stories, false backgrounds and provide false information, therefore, nothing that MAMZ, his supporters and associates say can be accepted at face value.

2). Markos C. A. Moulitsas ZÚÑIGA was born in Chicago, not in El Salvador. Therefore, he is a US citizen is NOT and never was an immigrant, in spite of his habitual assertions to the contrary.

3). Markos C. A. Moulitsas Zúñiga (MAMZ) has used at least three aliases, including Mark Moulitsas, and Markos Moulitsas Zúñiga and Markos Moulitsas and Markos C. A. Moulitsas. No one seems to know MAMZ's complete name with certainty, but it certainly is not what he has said it is.

4). Markos C.A. Moulitsas ZÚÑIGA lied when he said "I don’t have money. I don’t come from a famous or powerful family. I was an immigrant to the United States." CatoUnbound.Org:Markos Moulitsas [ZÚÑIGA] Counter to the rags to riches immigrant story MAMZ has conveniently adopted recently for public consumption, MAMZ has said that he can and does "always close the door" on immigrant identity "in detached selfishness."

5). Markos C.A. Moulitsas ZÚÑIGA was a Ronald Reagan Republican, taking credit for supporting Ronald Reagan, campaigning for George. H.W. Bush, and for Republican Representative Henry Hyde, the House prosecutor in the Clinton impeachment hearings.

6). Markos C.A. Moulitsas ZÚÑIGA (MAMZ) is not a "liberal" and he is not a "progressive." In an essay submitted to the Northern Illinois University campus newspaper, the Northern Star, MAMZ strenuously opposed ALL service by gays in the US military, a position more extremely Republican and discriminatory than that taken by many other military members and conservatives. Northern Star

7). Like David Duke and the Klu Klux Klan, Markos C.A. Moulitsas ZÚÑIGA promotes "states rights," a codeword for opposition to integration and determined acts and policies of segregation. Is DailyKos a White Supremacist Group?

8). Markos C.A. Moulitsas ZÚÑIGA has told the media, without naming her, that his mother "returned to El Salvador several years ago to run a hotel." San Francisco Gate

9). In fact, Mr. Moulitsas ZÚÑIGA’s family owns a sumptuous and “exclusive” resort hotel and tourism conglomerate in El Salvador called the "Club Joya del Pacífico" (Club Jewel of the Pacific) a unit of which is the (Jaltepeque Suites Hotel).

10). Demonstrating his connection to these, what MAMZ has called "family business" interests, Markos C.A. Moulitsas ZÚÑIGA invited his wife, friends and family to celebrate his honeymoon with him at the this Jaltepeque Suites Hotel after he was married in the year 2000.

(For some reason, the original link no longer works. Fortunately, we have two screenshots from his wedding album, including their web addresses, to prove that the album was public before its significance was pointed out. And now it's gone.)

11). Markos C.A. Moulitsas ZÚÑIGA ZÚÑIGA's "family business" actually received five million dollars in foreign investments between 1997 and 2000, immediately before the period in which MAMZ states that he sought work at the CIA because he was "underemployed, unemployed." Audiotape of 2006 Speech to the Commonwealth Club.

12). Carlos Alberto Delgado Zúñiga, the “family” member listed in government records as “manager” of the Moulitsas ZÚÑIGA’s hotel is also president of the “Junta Directiva” of the CÁMARA SALVADOREÑA DE TURISMO (CASATUR), the national tourism board of El Salvador, according to El Salvador's "La Prensa" newspaper. He has aggregated power in El Salvador through participation in a series of interlocking tourism-related directorates and has used this power to facilitate the destruction of the Jaltepeque Estuary by his hotel conglomerate, Club Jewel of the Pacific, even though the Jaltepeque Estuary is universally recognized by international groups as an endangered habitat for imperiled marine life. Why Has Markos C.A. Moulitsas ZÚÑIGA (M.A.M.Z.) Lied About His Wealthy Salvadoran Oligarchy Family Background?

13). Carlos Alberto Delgado Zúñiga, the man listed in public documents as the “manager” of the Moulitsas ZÚÑIGA’s Jaltepeque Suites Hotel, is also president of the “Junta Directiva” of the CÁMARA SALVADOREÑA DE TURISMO (CASATUR), the national tourism board of El Salvador. In addition, he is a member of the member of the “Junta Directiva” of the “Sistema de Integración de Centroamerica” (System for Integration of Central America).

14). The man listed as the manager of the Moulitsas ZÚÑIGA’s hotel is also named in Salvadoran Government documents as the “ADMINISTRADOR UNICO PROPIETARIO” (Administrator Sole Proprietor) of PRODUCTOS TURISTICOS Y OTROS, SOCIEDAD ANONIMA DE CAPITAL VARIABLE - PROTURO, S.A. DE C.V. CNR.GOB.SV: Names and Credentials

15).Proturo, S.A. de C.V. is also known as the “Baja Salt Group,” which does business as “Baja Salt.”

16). Baja Salt distributes table salt and industrial salt in the United States, Japan, Korea, Taiwan, New Zealand, Central and South America, and maintains offices in Odessa, Texas, where President George W. Bush was born. This Odessa, Texas office shares a telephone number, fax number and physical address with a peculiar equipment rental and petroleum industry business, Light Tower Rentals, Ltd, listed along with Halliburton Energy Services Group in the Texas organization records of USA Oilfield. These activities associated with Carlos Alberto Delgado Zúñiga's Baja Salt Group have not been sufficiently explained. See "The Secret "Family Business" of Markos Moulitsas Zúñiga (DailyKos)"

17). Baja Salt is the sole Central American distributor for the salt produced by Mexico’s Exportadora de Sal, S.A. (ESSA).

18). Baja Salt/ESSA is a notorious polluter of pristine grey whale and sea turtle spawning grounds and habitat in Baja Mexico.

19). ESSA is represented in its environmental pollution cases by the same Skadden, Arps powerhouse law firm that represents The Carlyle Group.

20). The internationally powerful Carlos Alberto Delgado ZÚÑIGA , the “family” member listed in government records as “manager” of the Moulitsas ZÚÑIGA’s hotel (see screenshot) was on the organizational member board of El Salvador’s ANEP, the Asociación Nacional de Empresas Privadas (National Association of Private Corporations).

21). ANEP is listed by the US Central Intelligence Agency as a right-wing political pressure group.

22). ANEP is "a lobby of El Salvador’s most influential businessmen" that advocates free markets and “wants to privatize El Salvador’s water delivery” and its hospitals, which has led to large popular demonstrations in El Salvador against ANEP’s pro-corporate policies. CountryData.Com

23). The large national and international corporate members of ANEP were the principal political opponents of Catholic Archbishop Oscar Romero at the time when he was assassinated. CIA: Political Pressure Groups Mongabay.com

24). ANEP ran a vigorous media campaign against El Salvador’s populist Catholic Archbishop Oscar Romero in the months that led up to his assassination on March 24 1980.

25). The corporate members of ANEP were the principal political opponents of Catholic Archbishop Oscar Arnulfo Romero when he was assassinated. CIA: Political Pressure Groups Mongabay.com

26). While Markos C.A. Moulitsas ZÚÑIGA was supporting Ronald Reagan and campaigning for other Republicans, the Reagan Administration provided billions of dollars in military and other aid to the Salvadoran Government and to the right-wing pressure groups believed to be responsible for the assassination of Archbishop Oscar Arnulfo Romero.
Total United States aid to El Salvador rose from US$264.2 million in fiscal year (FY) 1982 to an estimated US$557.8 million in FY 1987. On average over this period, economic aid exceeded military aid by more than a two-to-one ratio.

Economic aid was provided in the form of Economic Support Funds (ESF), food aid under Public Law 480 (P.L. 480), and development aid administered by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). ESF was intended to provide balance of payments support to finance essential non food imports. Assistance with food imports as well as the direct donation of foodstuffs was accomplished through the P.L. 480 program. Development aid covered a broad spectrum of projects in such fields as agriculture, population planning, health, education, and training.

For FY 1987, regular non supplemental ESF appropriations totaled US$181.7 million, and combined food and development aid amounted to US$122.7 million. The regular FY 1987 appropriation for military aid was US$116.5 million. Mongabay.Com: Country Studies/El Salvador

27). In 1983, another source provided the U.S. embassy with a chilling account of how death-squad operations were planned, financed and executed. According to the source, these right-wing death squads, which were all connected to D'Aubuisson's group,
“get their orders from paymasters in the Sol family ... younger members of the de Sola family and some members of the National Association of Businessmen (ANEP) ... The chain of command then proceeds to death-masters like [deleted] [who] have contacts with retired officers who go around to the different security forces as "black bag" men, paying off and recruiting likely foot-soldiers. The latter are recruited at the lower and even middle levels (captains and majors) of the different security forces. Death squad hit-men thus recruited are on the receiving end of a vertical hierarchy leading up to the paymasters (whom the foot-soldiers do not know...).”Center for International Policy
28). In spite of the leadership role of Carlos Alberto Delgado ZÚÑIGA in ANEP, and ANEP's role in the events leading to the assassination of Catholic Archbishop Oscar Romero, Markos C.A. Moulitsas ZÚÑIGA has told the public and his supporters -- cynically and as part of a continuing history of misinformation and deception -- that Archbishop Oscar Romero was one of his "heroes."

29). DailyKos practices blog apartheid, banning Black voices and restricting overall minority membership to less than 4% of membership. Is DailyKos a White Supremacist Group?

30). Markos C.A. Moulitsas ZÚÑIGA could not be unaware of these facts, and yet, through dozens or hundreds of media interviews, he has persistently hid his knowledge of these facts, and of his family’s role, from his supporters and from the American public.

31). Markos C.A. Moulitsas ZÚÑIGA has lied to the public about whom he really is, and he is not the person who he pretends to be, but is an impostor who makes a mockery of progressive people and progressive values.

Still, myriad questions remain and demand to be answered about his activities:

1). Why has Markos C.A. Moulitsas ZÚÑIGA NEVER, EVER revealed in public the name of even ONE of his blood relatives?

2). What is the name of the uncle of Markos C.A. Moulitsas ZÚÑIGA who was once the Minister of Education in El Salvador (if he in fact exists at all)?

3. Why has Markos C.A. Moulitsas ZÚÑIGA not revealed that the “manager” of his “family business” in El Salvador, Carlos Alberto Delgado ZÚÑIGA , was a member of the organization member board of ANEP?

4). Who is Maria Elizabeth ZÚÑIGA de Delgado, the woman listed in Salvadoran Government documents as “Alternate Administrator” of Proturo, S.A. de S.V.?

5). To what degree does Markos C.A. Moulitsas ZÚÑIGA stand to benefit financially from the ongoing financial and political activities of Carlos Alberto Delgado ZÚÑIGA, Maria Elizabeth ZÚÑIGA de Delgado, Club Joya del Pacífico, the Jaltepeque Suites Hotel unit, the Baja Salt (Group), PROTURO, ESSA, ANEP, Light Tower Rentals of Odessa, Texas, and any related persons, corporations, groups, economic and political activities?

6). Why has Markos C.A. Moulitsas ZÚÑIGA never acknowledged, disavowed and disconnected himself from these activities?

7). Is Markos C.A. Moulitsas ZÚÑIGA now receiving and/or has he ever received (e.g. in 2001) payments or other compensation from the US Government, directly or indirectly, for his intelligence work or other activities? (Please refer to and review now the audiotape of MAMZ's comments to at the Commonwealth Club on June 2, 2006, in San Francisco, CA.)

8). Why has Markos C.A. Moulitsas ZÚÑIGA lied about so many things to so many people and why did he suddenly begin to present himself as a "progressive" during the period of his at least six-months involvement with the Central Intelligence Agency?

9). Why would any responsible candidate or voter of the Democratic Party accept money or advice from an self-acknowledged two-year CIA applicant/trainee?

10). With so many serious and troubling questions raised about the work and history of Markos C.A. Moulitsas ZÚÑIGA and his family, the judgment of justice and history call upon and compel the public, the media and elected officials to reevaluate the truth and history of Markos C.A. Moulitsas ZÚÑIGA, carefully comparing his unverified stories and self-serving propaganda to the facts documented above.

"Mockingbird Agenda at DailyKos"?

I have scrupulously avoided speculating about the reason why the "progressive" whitosphere and even some of the afrosphere seems to have connections, directly or indirectly, to the Central Intelligence Agency. I has been my belief that the less time I spent speculating and the more time I spent linking to indubitable facts, the more likely it would be that people would discover and believe the facts printed at the Truth About Kos.

At the same time, I have always wondered why, even before the advent of the whitosphere, people in the United States have had such a viscerally negative reaction to conspiracy theories. When unusual things occur in my world, I have a learned tendency to look for information about those anomalies and to explain them to myself as best I can, settling for my best hypothesis until it is disproved or confirmed.

And yet, the term "conspiracy theory" is used in the United States to discount without further investigation the hypothesis that people develop as well as to brand the hypothesizers as "conspiracy theorists", and therefore necessary not worth the time to understand and evaluate the hypothesies they have developed.

Nonetheless, I remember writing a long argument back in 2003 or so that conspiracy hypothesies are necessary at a time in which politicians keep their plans secret and obviously the FBI and CIA keep all or most of their activities secret, even while working assiduously to bring about outcomes that will effect hundreds of thousands or millions of people. I believe it is irresponsible and worse -- incurious -- for the public to wait for things to develop, while never wondering HOW they developed and WHO is behind them, and WHY.

If conspiracy theories are not worth out time and "outside of the mainstream", then why have the words "covert" and "clandestine" found their ways into our language and our dictionaries? In 2007-2008, the National Enquirer posited that John Edwards had engaged in an extramarital affair while running for president, and that he had engaged in a massive and concerted conspiracy to cover up the affair, moving the "other woman" around the country so that the press could not interview her, and not listing a father on the birth certificate of the woman's child, so that no one could definitively say that John Edwards was the father. A conspiracy was posited and a conspiracy was later proven and confessed.

This is why I make reference today to an essay written and posted by "donnybrook" over at 911blogger.com. Donnybrook offers a coherent theory as to why so-called "left-leaning" and progressive blogs like DailyKos and MyDD immediately ban users who speculate about why events occur in our political process. To the degree that there are unseen hands behind the political machinations that form the outline of our world, DailyKos and MyDD will not permit the left to discuss, disseminate information about or clarify the actions and purposes of those unseen hands.

What does the Central Intelligence Agency do, if not hatch and implement covert and conspiratorial activities? Why should we ignore these activities if we know they are taking place (otherwise why would the US Government have an entire agency devoted to this purpose)?

For example, why is DailyKos so sensitive against theories of how 9-11 really came to pass, even seven years after the fact, when alternative theories have been posted in so many other places, and evidence has been offered to cast serious doubt on the official story?

Donnnybrook says in an article entitled "Mockingbird Agenda at DailyKos":
Markos Moulitsas, founder of the Net's leading liberal website in terms of traffic and political influence, Daily Kos, has a rather curious and odd background for a leader of the Left—one that might explain his official policy of banning any Diarist who posts information or opinion dissenting from the 9/11 Commission's unraveling myth about the attacks.

( . . . )

In a speech to the Commonwealth Club in 2006, Kos admitted to interviewing with the CIA for a 6-month period after a time of "underemployment." His statements there betray either a stunning ignorance, or sneaking sympathy with the CIA's long history of democratic subversion and support of rightist dictatorships abroad, including the one that sponsored death squads in his former homeland . . .

( . . . )

The CIA has also been accused of providing seed money for both Facebook, and Google, according to former CIA clandestine officer Robert David Steele. As one critic has noted: "The CIA does not merely look into social media—they appear to own it."

If Moulitsas is a digital-age Mockingbird (the CIA's Cold War program of infiltrating and co-opting the American media; ), perhaps he is exercising a role similar to that of Rahm Emmanuel, who as chairman of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee in the 2006 elections, steered party funds to pro-war Democrats while starving anti-war candidates. If that is the agenda of Daily Kos—to maintain the Democratic party's inertia as co-dependent enablers of the military-industrial complex and it's boondoggle War on Terror—it seems to be succeeding wildly. Suppressing any alternative narrative of 9/11, the foundational keystone of this war, would be a crucial element of such a strategy. "donnybrook"
It doesn't make sense to me that Markos Moulitsas became a "progressive", "leftist". gatecrasher" while he was training at the Central Intelligence Agency, and after a lifetime of commitment to Republican causes. In fact it seems more likely to me that perfect cuts of filet mignon would come out of the grinders at a sausage factory.

Since the official story being offered entirely by Markos C. A. Moulitsas Zúniga himself, and defended by his minions without any actual facts to support his story, and not ever investigated by the mainstream media that must by now know of all of the holes in this yarn, I have to conclude that a conspiracy theory is necessary to explain that which otherwise makes no sense. And the conspiracy theory of donnybrook brings some of the critical known facts together and winds them into a credible hypothesis:

1). In the aftermath of 9-11, and in run-up to the Iraq War, the Government was desperate to prevent the Internet from becoming a source of alternative information to that being offered by the pro-war media.
2). The CIA and FBI have a history of infiltrating groups that seem to threaten and challenge the status quo, in such clandestine efforts such as Co-Intel-Pro, Mockingbird.

3). Correctly perceiving that the Left might try to use the Internet as a much more effective way of organizing Leftist opposition compared to what was available before, the CIA decided to infiltrate the Internet and set groundrules for discussion that would effectively prevent discussion from moving beyond what is available in mainstream media news outlets. That is, the CIA decided to neuter the discussion before it could get out of bounds.

4). Initially, the plan was to completely isolate the "progressive" whitosphere from Black participation, by simply banning Black users who had a more critical view of war, the Government and cover activity than white "progressives" typically do. However, as it became apparent that Blacks would not stand for being excluded, the gatekeepers decided to admit Blacks who would follow the groundrules already set for whites, including such blogs as Jack and Jill Politics, Steve Gilliard and Shanikka at DailyKos and MyLeft Wing (see comments).
